HYDROPONICS GREENHOUSE BUILT FROM SCRAP FOR LESS THAN R5000

What I love about this business is all the customers we meet and their ingenuity.

Roger from Rynfield, Benoni, in Gauteng's East Rand, purchased the hydroponics starter kit from us a few months ago which included hydroball grow media, netpots and hydroponic nutrients.

He then went about building a greenhouse and NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) hydroponic system. He built it from scrap materials, including old windows, pipes and other odds and ends.. All for less than R5000 !!!

The result is classical, as per the photos below.

Beautiful Greenhouse

PVC pipes used in NFT hydroponic System. Currently 60 net pots, to expand soon to 150 net pots

Roger has planted tomatoes (see below), as well as peppers, beans, strawberries and spinach.. all doing well

Next phase is to build a flood and drain system. Plant beds built out of an old geyser have already been primed
